Description

This stoneware cup is fluted all the way round: evenly spaced vertical grooves run from the rim to the foot, and the glossy red glaze catches the light along every ridge. It holds 220ml, which makes it a cup rather than a large mug, a comfortable size for a cup of tea or a milky coffee. It is 8.5cm across and 8.5cm tall and weighs 0.23KG. The body narrows gently from a wide rim to a smaller foot, and an open looped handle sits on one side, curving out from below the rim.

It is made for the drinks of an ordinary day: the first coffee at the kitchen table, a cup of tea at the desk, hot chocolate in the sitting room on a cold evening.
