Description

The Laila is a hanging rail in iron, 120cm long, carried on a flat plate at each end. The rail is round in section and runs unbroken from one plate to the other with nothing fixed along it, so a hook slides to wherever it is wanted. It stands 7.5cm clear of the wall, which is what leaves a hook room to hang free of the plaster. The plates are small squares with a shaped edge, drilled for fixing, and the brass finish over the iron is warm and slightly uneven along the length.

Fixed above a worktop it takes pans, utensils and a board on S hooks; fixed in a bathroom it takes a towel over the rail itself. At 120cm it spans most of a run between two units, or the width of a standard bath. Two can be mounted one above the other on the same wall. Laila S hooks are made to go with it, in the same brass finish and in plain iron.

The rail is iron under a brass finish rather than solid brass, and it weighs 1.9kg. A shorter Laila rail is made at 90cm, and both lengths are made in a plain iron finish as well as this one. The rail is for indoor use.
