Description

The Kyoto is a 46cm LED table lamp built around a cylindrical black marble base supporting two opal white glass domes separated by a black metal ring. An integrated 11W LED runs through the centre column, lighting both glass shades simultaneously to produce diffused 3000K warm white ambient light in both upward and downward directions.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and desks in modern and minimalist interiors, the Kyoto provides background illumination rather than focused task light. The 22cm diameter keeps the footprint compact enough for a typical bedside table without dominating the surface, while the 46cm height brings the upper dome to a position where upward light can wash a wall or headboard. The marble base weighs approximately 2kg, providing stability without needing to be clamped or fixed.

The black marble shows natural white veining that varies between individual lamps depending on which section of stone the base was cut from. The opal glass has a smooth outer surface and diffuses the LED evenly, avoiding visible hot spots or glare when viewed from the side. The metal components connecting the base, ring and top rod are powder-coated in matt black to match the marble tone. The 11W LED is non-replaceable and rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use, equivalent to around 10 years at 8 hours daily operation.

Yes. Each base is cut from natural black marble, so the white veining pattern and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is characteristic of the natural material.

What rooms is it suitable for?

The IP20 rating means the Kyoto is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It works well on bedside tables, console tables, desks and sideboards in bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and home offices. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.
