Description

The Krone is a 100cm linear chandelier built around a twisted brass metal frame lined with asymmetric crystal droplets. An integrated 27W LED strip runs the length of the frame, casting light through and between the crystals to produce both directed illumination below and scattered refracted light from the crystal surfaces. The brass frame twists along its horizontal axis, giving the fitting a dynamic profile when viewed from different angles.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and long hallways where conventional circular pendants would look undersized or out of proportion, the Krone's 100cm length suits surfaces between 120-180cm wide. The suspension height adjusts between 91cm and 311cm on installation, allowing the fitting to be set 70-90cm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The linear form provides more even light distribution across a rectangular surface than a single-point pendant.

The crystal elements are cut with flat facets that catch and refract the LED light at different angles as you move around the room, creating a shifting pattern of highlights across the brass frame. The 3000K colour temperature of the integrated LED gives a warm white light that pairs well with the brass finish. The CRI of 90 renders colours accurately, which matters when the fitting is used over food preparation or dining areas. The IP20 rating restricts the Krone to dry indoor locations only.

Is the Krone dimmable?

The integrated 27W LED is built into the fitting. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer switch model used. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility with this Maytoni LED driver.

What ceiling height is required?

The suspension cables adjust between 91cm and 311cm. For a dining table or kitchen island, the fitting typically hangs 70-90cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Krone if the cables are shortened during installation.

Can the brass frame be cleaned?

Wipe the brass frame with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid brass polish or chemical cleaners as these can affect the finish over time. The crystal elements can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried immediately to prevent water marks.

The 100cm linear frame suits dining tables or kitchen islands between 120-180cm wide. For narrower tables the fitting may look oversized; for tables longer than 180cm consider pairing two Krone fittings in sequence or choosing a different linear fitting with greater length.
