Description
A tealight holder mouth-blown from recycled glass, 9cm tall and 9cm across, with a base that curves under so the body sits on a small footprint and sides that lift almost straight to a plain rim. The finish is two-tone: a mottled copper laid over the upper part of the wall, and below it the glass left smoky grey and covered all over in a fine crackle. The line where the copper stops is uneven rather than level.
Lit, the crackle in the lower half breaks the light into a net of fine lines while the copper above it reads as a warm band, so what comes out is low and diffused rather than direct. At 9cm tall and 9cm across this is the smallest of three Konara sizes, and all three cluster on a shelf, each taking a tealight. One on its own suits a laid table, where 9cm stays below a sightline across it.
The glass is recycled. Waste glass is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is mouth-blown into a mould, and the copper is applied to the upper part of the holder afterwards. Konara also runs at 13cm and 16cm, both the same across as they are tall. The tealight is not included.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
9cm tall and 9cm across. It is the smallest of the three Konara sizes.
What candle does it take?
A tealight, standing on the base of the glass.
What are the other sizes?
13cm and 16cm, both the same across as they are tall.
Is the glass recycled?
Yes. Waste glass is collected and washed to remove impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is mouth-blown into a mould.
How do I look after it?
A dry soft cloth for dust, and careful handling. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off the finish. Position the tealight securely and keep the flame clear of the glass. It gets hot in use, so keep it out of reach of children, wait until it has cooled fully before handling it, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
