Knightsbridge Wireless Doorbell Extender Plug-In Receiver - Black

The Knightsbridge DCRB is a plug-in wireless doorbell receiver that extends the coverage of Knightsbridge door chime systems across larger homes or multi-storey buildings. The 81mm square receiver plugs directly into a standard UK 230V socket and pairs wirelessly with compatible Knightsbridge doorbell push buttons, adding an audible chime in rooms beyond the range of the primary receiver.

Designed for residential use, the extender suits homes where the main doorbell receiver cannot be heard from upstairs bedrooms, rear extensions, home offices or outbuildings within wireless range. The receiver operates on less than 0.3W standby power and provides a wireless range of approximately 150-200m in open air, though walls, floors and other building materials will reduce this range in practice. It pairs with Knightsbridge DC010, DC011, DC012, DC013, DC014, DC015 and DC016 door chimes.

The black polycarbonate housing includes blue accent detailing on the front face and houses three control buttons on the left edge for pairing, volume adjustment and chime selection. The receiver carries an IP20 rating for indoor use only and operates on 230V 50Hz mains with Class II double-insulated construction, requiring no earth connection. The compact 81.5mm width and 26.2mm depth projection from the wall means it sits flush against most skirting boards without blocking adjacent sockets.

Which Knightsbridge doorbells is this compatible with?

The DCRB receiver pairs with Knightsbridge DC010, DC011, DC012, DC013, DC014, DC015 and DC016 wireless door chimes. It will not work with other brands or models outside this range.

What is the actual wireless range indoors?

Knightsbridge states 150-200m in open air, but internal walls, floors, metal structures and electrical interference reduce this significantly. Typical indoor range is 30-60m depending on building construction. Brick, concrete and metal stud walls have more impact than plasterboard partitions.

Can multiple extenders be used in one building?

Yes. You can pair multiple DCRB receivers to the same doorbell push button, allowing chimes to sound in several rooms when the button is pressed. Each receiver is paired individually following the instructions in the manual.

Does it need batteries or mains power?

The receiver is mains powered only, plugging into a standard UK 230V socket. It consumes less than 0.3W on standby. There are no batteries to replace.
