Knightsbridge Wireless Door Chime - 58 Ringtones, IP44 Receiver & IP55 Push

The Knightsbridge DC010 is a wireless door chime with an IP44-rated receiver unit and an IP55-rated bell push, connected via 433MHz radio signal with a range of approximately 150-200m depending on building structure and interference. The receiver offers 58 selectable ringtones and adjustable volume up to 110dB, plus a visual LED flash alert for situations where the chime cannot be heard.

Designed for residential installation where running wired chime cables is impractical, the system operates on battery power alone. The receiver takes three AAA batteries (not included) and can be wall-mounted using the rear keyhole slots or left free-standing on a shelf or worktop. The bell push mounts externally beside the front door using the supplied fixings and runs on a single 12V 23A battery (included). Both components carry IP ratings suitable for outdoor exposure, with the push button rated IP55 for weather resistance.

The learning code feature allows the receiver and push to pair without interference from neighbouring wireless doorbells or garage door openers. Additional receivers or bell pushes can be added to the system if coverage is needed across multiple floors or for outbuildings. The white ABS casing on both units measures 81mm square on the receiver and sits flush against most door frames for the push.

What batteries does it need?

The receiver requires three AAA batteries (not included). The bell push requires one 12V 23A battery, which is included with the kit. Battery life depends on usage frequency but typically the receiver lasts 6-12 months and the push 12-18 months under normal domestic use.

Can the bell push be mounted outdoors?

Yes. The bell push carries an IP55 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. It can be mounted on an exposed external door frame, porch or gate post. The receiver is IP44-rated, suitable for covered outdoor locations or indoor use.

What is the actual range?

Knightsbridge specifies 150-200m range in open air. Actual range indoors depends on wall construction, metal frameworks and interference from other wireless devices. Most residential installations achieve full coverage across a typical two-storey house, but range may reduce in properties with thick stone walls or metal stud partitions.

Can I add more receivers or bell pushes?

Yes. The learning code system allows you to pair additional receivers to the same bell push, or additional bell pushes to the same receiver. This is useful for covering a large property, adding a chime to a workshop or garage, or installing push buttons at front and rear doors.
