The Knightsbridge Metalclad 12 Gang Grid Faceplate is a premium-grade steel mounting plate designed to accept euro module inserts for custom TV, data, HDMI, USB and telephone socket configurations. The 208mm × 148mm plate provides twelve apertures arranged in three horizontal rows of four, each aperture accepting a standard 25mm × 50mm euro module insert (sold separately).

Designed for media walls, office workstations, meeting rooms and smart home control panels, the metalclad faceplate suits installations where multiple data, AV and telecom connections need to be grouped in a single location. The powder-coated silver-grey finish provides a neutral metallic tone that pairs with both contemporary and industrial interiors, and the IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations. The plate mounts directly to standard back boxes or dry-lining boxes with a depth of at least 35mm to accommodate the euro module inserts behind the faceplate.

The steel construction and powder-coat finish resist scratches, impacts and wear in high-traffic commercial environments, and Knightsbridge backs the plate with a 25-year guarantee. The screwless design relies on a clip-on cover that conceals the fixing points, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed faceplates. The built-in gasket between the faceplate and the wall provides a flush fit that prevents movement and reduces dust ingress around the edges of the plate.

Euro module inserts are sold separately, allowing the plate to be configured with any combination of RJ45 data sockets, HDMI couplers, USB charging ports, coaxial TV outlets, optical audio sockets or RJ11 telephone sockets. This makes the 12-gang faceplate a modular solution for bespoke installations where the exact mix of connections can be specified by the installer or end user.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the euro module inserts behind the faceplate. Deeper boxes (47mm or 50mm) provide more cable management space for complex installations with multiple cable runs.

Is the faceplate screwless?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate mounting frame fixed to the back box, concealing all fixing points and giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed faceplates.

Can this be used in bathrooms or outdoor locations?

No. The IP20 rating means the faceplate is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for moisture exposure or outdoor use.
