Description
The Knightsbridge IP68 weatherproof power hub provides one inlet and three outlets in a mountable black PA66 enclosure rated to IP68 at 5 bar submersion. The hub uses a plug-and-socket configuration with a twist-lock mechanism that secures the connection without tools, allowing quick assembly and disassembly of temporary or semi-permanent outdoor electrical runs. Each terminal uses silver-plated stainless steel lever contacts and accepts cable diameters from 5mm to 14mm.
Designed for outdoor lighting installations, garden power distribution, event wiring and industrial yard runs where waterproof junctions are required, the hub splits one incoming cable into three outgoing feeds while maintaining IP68 protection on all connection points. The rated capacity of 24A at 450V handles lighting circuits, power tools, pumps and other outdoor equipment up to 5.5kW combined load. The hub accepts H07RNF flexible cable from 3G 0.75mm² to 3G 2.5mm², covering the majority of UK outdoor and temporary wiring applications.
The PA66 V-0 construction withstands temperatures from -30°C to 85°C and resists impact, UV degradation and chemical exposure better than standard outdoor junction boxes. The twist-lock mechanism compresses internal gaskets on assembly to create the IP68 seal, and the hub includes cable entry sleeves that grip the cable sheath to maintain waterproofing when the outer insulation is stripped back. The mounting lugs on the rear allow the hub to be fixed to walls, posts or equipment enclosures using two screws, keeping the junction off the ground and clear of standing water.

Frequently Asked
What cable types does the hub accept?
The hub accepts H07RNF flexible cable from 3G 0.75mm² to 3G 2.5mm² with outer diameters between 5mm and 14mm. Rigid conductors and ferruled ends can be pushed directly into the lever terminals by hand; flexible conductors require a screwdriver to open the lever for insertion.
Is the IP68 rating maintained when cables are connected?
Yes. The twist-lock mechanism compresses internal gaskets when the plug and socket halves are joined, and the supplied cable entry sleeves grip the cable sheath to maintain the IP68 seal even when the hub is submerged up to 5 bar pressure.
Can the hub be mounted vertically or horizontally?
Yes. The mounting lugs on the rear allow the hub to be fixed in any orientation to walls, posts or equipment. Mounting the hub with cable entries facing downward or sideways helps prevent water pooling around the entry points in rain.
What's the maximum load the hub can distribute?
The hub is rated at 24A and 450V, which supports a combined load of up to 5.5kW across the three outlets when running on 230V mains. Individual outlet loads depend on the cable size used in the downstream run.
