Description
The Knightsbridge T8BLED15 is a 1525mm (5ft) LED batten delivering 3000 lumens from an integrated 26W LED light source at 4000K cool white. The pressed steel body houses the LED driver and ballast behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser that spreads light across a 120° beam angle, providing even illumination across the length of the fitting.
Designed as a direct replacement for traditional T8 fluorescent battens in garages, workshops, utility rooms, storage areas and commercial back-of-house spaces, the batten mounts directly to ceiling or wall joists and connects to mains via a terminal block accessed through the end cap. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations, and the 60mm width and 85mm projection keep the profile compact where headroom is limited.
The white finish on the pressed steel housing pairs neutrally with most ceiling finishes, and the opal diffuser hides the LED strip from view while reducing glare. At 113 lumens per watt the fitting delivers functional efficiency for commercial and residential task lighting, and the 50,000-hour L70B50 rating indicates the LED will retain at least 70% of its initial output after 50,000 hours of operation. The fitting is not dimmable and carries a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Is this dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver operates on constant current and does not support dimming. The fitting runs at full 3000 lumens output whenever switched on.
Can it replace an old fluorescent T8 batten?
Yes. The 1525mm length matches a standard 5ft fluorescent batten footprint. Remove the old fluorescent fitting entirely, wire the LED batten to mains via the terminal block in the end cap, and mount to ceiling or wall joists using the brackets on the back of the housing.
What's the difference between 3000lm and 3325lm in the spec?
3325lm is the output of the LED strip itself. 3000lm is the output after diffusion through the opal polycarbonate cover — the usable light in the room. Manufacturers report both figures; the lower number is what matters for comparing brightness.
Is it suitable for a bathroom or outdoor use?
No. The IP20 rating means it is only protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm and has no moisture protection. Use it in dry indoor locations only — garages, workshops, utility rooms, storerooms, non-bathroom spaces.
