Description

The Knightsbridge 4-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm x 88mm screwless cover plate finished in black nickel, designed to house four modular grid switches, sockets or dimmers on a single faceplate. The plate clips onto a separate GDS002F mounting frame (sold separately), which fixes to the back box and provides the screw fixings, leaving the visible faceplate free of screw heads.

Designed for use with Knightsbridge's modular grid system, the 4-gang faceplate allows custom switch and socket configurations in kitchens, home offices and media rooms where multiple controls are needed at a single location. Common configurations include four light switches, a mix of switches and dimmers, or a combination of switches and USB sockets. The grid system allows each module to be independently specified and fitted into the shared mounting frame.

The black nickel finish provides a dark metallic surface with subtle gunmetal tones, offering a contemporary alternative to polished chrome or brushed stainless finishes. The premium-grade steel construction gives the faceplate rigidity and a 3.5mm projection from the wall once fitted. The screwless design keeps the front face clean and uninterrupted, with no visible fixings to collect dust or disrupt the finish over time.

What mounting frame is needed?

This faceplate requires one GDS002F mounting frame, sold separately. The mounting frame fixes to the back box with screws, and the screwless faceplate then clips onto the frame, hiding all fixings.

What grid modules fit this faceplate?

The 4-gang faceplate accepts four standard Knightsbridge grid modules, which can be any combination of switches, dimmers, sockets, USB chargers or data outlets from the grid range. Each module is sold separately and clips into the mounting frame.

Can the faceplate be removed for decorating?

Yes. The screwless faceplate clips off the GDS002F mounting frame without tools, allowing you to paint or wallpaper around the switch location, then clip the plate back on afterwards without disturbing the wiring.
