Description

The Knightsbridge 25 x 50mm cable brush module is a euro-module cable management insert built from black ABS plastic with a dual-brush arrangement that allows HDMI, aerial, power and other cables to pass through the wall whilst keeping the aperture sealed against dust and drafts. The module measures 25mm wide by 50mm tall, fitting a single euro-module aperture in Knightsbridge grid faceplates.

Designed for wall-mounted TVs and AV installations where cables run behind plasterboard to conceal them from view, the brush module sits flush in the wall and the flexible nylon bristles part to allow cable ends and plugs to pass through during installation, then close around the cable run to maintain a finished appearance. The curved Knightsbridge design gives a slightly recessed profile that sits 2-3mm back from the faceplate edge.

The black finish matches Knightsbridge's matt black and graphite faceplate ranges, blending into dark walls or contrasting against lighter finishes. The IP20 rating means the module is suitable for dry indoor locations only. The ABS construction is lightweight and the bristles retain their position without sagging over time. This module must NOT be installed in the same faceplate as live power sockets or modules due to the risk of accidental contact with hazardous voltage through the brush aperture.

What size faceplate does this module fit?

This is a single euro-module insert measuring 25 x 50mm. It fits Knightsbridge grid faceplates designed to accept euro-module inserts. A typical 2-module faceplate would hold two of these side by side.

Can I use this alongside power sockets in the same faceplate?

No. Knightsbridge specifies that brush modules must NOT be installed in the same faceplate or channel as live power sockets due to the risk of accidental contact with hazardous voltage through the brush aperture. Use a separate faceplate for cable management and power.

What cables can pass through the brushes?

The nylon bristles part to allow HDMI cables, coaxial aerial cables, ethernet cables, USB cables and similar low-voltage AV and data cables to pass through. The brushes are flexible enough to accommodate cable ends with moulded plugs during installation.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating means this module is designed for dry indoor locations only and offers no protection against moisture or dust ingress beyond normal indoor conditions.
