Description

The Knightsbridge LFC24WW3M is a 3m LED strip light running on 24V DC with 60 x 2835 SMD LEDs per metre, delivering 500 lumens per metre at 3000K warm white. The strip measures 8mm wide and 1.2mm thick, with a 100mm cut section allowing adjustment to exact installation lengths. The strip arrives on a reel with 3M self-adhesive backing already applied to the rear.

Designed for internal use only (IP20 rated), the strip suits under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, cove lighting in living rooms and bedrooms, backlit shelving, wardrobe interiors, TV backlighting, mirror surrounds, and stair nosing accent lighting. The 24V DC requirement means a constant voltage driver is needed (sold separately). The strip is dimmable when paired with a compatible driver and dimmer module, giving control over light output from full brightness down to a low ambient glow.

At 4.8W per metre, the full 3m strip draws 14.4W total, producing 1,500 lumens across the run. The maximum continuous run is 20m before voltage drop becomes an issue. The 120-degree beam angle from the surface-mount LEDs gives wide light spread suitable for indirect lighting rather than spot illumination. The CRI of >80 provides colour rendering adequate for residential and most commercial applications.

The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, closer to halogen or incandescent tones than cooler LED whites. The strip cuts cleanly every 100mm at marked points along its length, allowing precise fitting to alcoves, shelving runs, or cabinet widths without wastage. Installation requires a clean, dry surface for the adhesive to bond, and the strip should be pressed firmly along its full length to ensure consistent contact.

Can it be cut to length?

Yes. The strip has cut marks every 100mm along its length, allowing it to be shortened to fit exact installation widths. Cutting mid-section damages the LEDs on that segment, so only cut at the marked points.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable 24V driver and a compatible dimmer module or controller. The strip itself does not include dimming electronics, so dimming capability depends entirely on the driver and control gear used.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the strip is for internal dry locations only. For bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor use, Knightsbridge produces IP65 and IP67 silicone-coated versions of this strip in separate SKUs.
