Description

This is a tabletop Christmas tree decoration made entirely of iron, built up in four flared tiers of cut-out leaf patterning that narrow towards the top. Small birds perch along the branches, with one at the very peak and another resting on the foot, which gives the piece a little woodland story rather than a plain outline. It stands 35cm tall and 17cm across at its widest tier, raised on a slim stem over a splayed metal foot, and the whole tree is finished in gold lacquer.

At that height it is made for a surface rather than the floor: a mantelpiece, a sideboard, a console table in the hall or a deep windowsill. Because the tiers are cut through, light passes between the leaves, so a spot near a window or a table lamp brings the pattern forward and throws soft shadows onto the wall behind. It suits a small flat with no room for a full-size tree, a desk at work, a bedside table in a guest room, or a living room that already has a big tree and wants a quieter echo of it on the shelf.

The tree is made of 100% iron with a lacquer finish, and it weighs 0.59KG, light enough to lift down and box up with the rest of the decorations in January.
