Description
A set of four tiny Kiko frames, one hexagonal, one square, one a house shape and one a pentagon, each 7cm tall, 6.5cm wide and half a centimetre thick. Each one is made from recycled glass held in a soldered brass surround in an aged antique tone, and each comes with a printed sari tie. Each one is hinged down one side and closes on a small wire catch, so a photograph or a keepsake drops in between the panes, and at half a centimetre thick they sit almost flat against whatever they hang on.
At 7 by 6.5cm these take a very small picture, nearer the size of a passport photograph than a print. Four of them will fill the edge of a shelf, the lip of a mantelpiece or the top of a chest. Each one carries a sari tie, so they can be hung from a tree, a branch or a hook instead of being set down.
The glass is recycled and the surround is brass in an aged antique tone. The metal is soldered around the glass with traditional tools, and that hand process leaves weld marks on the joins of every piece. Each sari tie is one of a kind, so no two in the set carry the same pattern. The Kiko range also holds box decorations in the same aged antique, and brass frames and mirrors in larger sizes.

Frequently Asked
How big is each frame?
7cm tall, 6.5cm wide and half a centimetre thick. Four come in a set, in four different shapes.
What are they made from?
Recycled glass with a brass surround, soldered by hand.
Can they be hung on a tree?
Yes. Each frame comes with a sari tie for exactly that, so they work on a branch as well as on a shelf.
Why are there marks on the joins?
The metal is soldered around the glass with traditional tools, and the weld marks are what that handmade process leaves behind. They differ from frame to frame.
How should they be looked after?
Wipe them regularly with a soft, dry cloth so dust and dirt do not build up. For the glass, use a microfibre cloth in a circular motion.
