Description

The Kerry is a 1.9m outdoor lamp post with a four-sided lantern head mounted on a straight black polymer column. The lantern housing contains a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) behind transparent polycarbonate diffuser panels. The entire structure is moulded from black polymer rather than metal, making it corrosion-proof and resistant to salt spray in coastal environments.

Designed for driveways, front gardens, pathways and coastal properties where metal posts corrode quickly, the Kerry provides a traditional lamp post silhouette without the maintenance demands of painted cast aluminium or steel. The IP44 rating protects the internal wiring and lampholder from dust and splashes of water, covering typical UK rain and garden hose exposure. The 255mm square lantern head and base footprint suit standard paving layouts and 200-300mm diameter ground sleeves.

The polymer construction absorbs impacts that would dent metal posts, making it practical for locations near vehicle access or garden maintenance equipment. The black finish is moulded through the material rather than painted, so surface scratches do not expose a different colour beneath. The transparent polycarbonate diffusers are thicker and more impact-resistant than glass, reducing breakage risk in exposed positions.
