Description

These are four grey stoneware cups, each holding 365ml and measuring 11.5cm across and 8cm tall. Those figures make them wide, generous cups rather than tall mugs, roomy enough for a milky coffee or a proper breakfast tea. The outside is covered in a raised pattern of overlapping scales, and the reactive glaze settles into it, so the edge of each scale catches a different tone from the hollow beside it. Each cup has a curved loop handle with a small curl at the top where your thumb rests.

With four in the set, they cover everyday coffee for a small household or a pot of tea shared at the kitchen table on a slow weekend morning. The 365ml capacity suits a cappuccino or a latte with room for the foam, and the wide bowl is just as good for hot chocolate on a cold evening.
