Description

This is a set of four handleless stoneware cups, each 7cm across and 7cm tall with a capacity of 150ml. What makes them worth a second look is that no two match: every cup carries its own hand-stamped pattern, with rows of little blooms and scrolling petals on some and a tight geometric lattice on another, all finished with a fine contrasting line at the rim and a neat foot at the base. At 150ml they are small cups rather than mugs, sized for a short coffee, a cortado or a modest cup of tea, and with no handle they sit snugly in a cupped hand. Together the four read as a multicoloured family rather than a uniform row.
