Description

This is a set of four handleless stoneware cups, each stamped by hand with its own blue pattern. Some designs are floral, with rows of small flowers or wheel-like blooms; others are geometric, with a lattice of crosses or a close, tile-like print. Each cup holds 150ml and measures 7cm across and 7cm tall, a compact, rounded shape that sits comfortably in the palm. A fine line traces every rim and a contrasting band runs round the foot, so the four look related without matching.

At 150ml these are cups rather than mugs: right for green tea, a herbal infusion after dinner or a short coffee in the morning. With no handle, each is cradled in both hands, which suits slow breakfasts at the kitchen table and long conversations on the sofa.
