Description

The Kando P/76/R is a floor lamp in the form of a lantern: a round, pleated shade held inside an open three-legged frame, with a flat, round disc across the top. The structure is Brown and the shade is White Translucent Ribbon, and the lamp is made from aluminium, teak wood, ribbon and polycarbonate. It measures 49cm across. Its light comes from an integrated LED giving 251 lumens, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and the pleated ribbon spreads that light evenly around the shade. It runs on a rechargeable battery, charged by USB-C.

We think of it first for a living room: beside a sofa, next to an armchair, or in a corner the ceiling light leaves dim. At 251 lumens it is a lamp for mood rather than a room's main light, the one you turn on in the evening when you want the space to feel softer and calmer.
