Description

The Kando P/111/R is a lantern-style floor lamp: a tall, finely pleated Cream Translucent Ribbon shade held inside an open wooden frame with a Brown structure. A dark brown disc caps the top of the cylinder, and the frame stands on three slim legs linked by low struts at the base. Inside sits an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or fit, and it gives 247 lumens, a soft, diffused glow through the ribbon rather than a bright reading light. The lamp measures 49cm across.

It runs on a rechargeable battery, charged by USB-C, so once it is charged there is no flex trailing across the floor, and you can stand it wherever the room wants a pool of light: beside the sofa, in an empty corner, next to a favourite armchair. We think it belongs in the living room, where its gentle light works alongside an overhead light or on its own for a quiet evening. Rated IP20, it is for dry indoor rooms only, so keep it well away from anywhere it could be splashed.
