Kambali 130 x 200cm Distressed Jacquard Throw - Natural

The Kambali is a throw measuring 130 by 200cm, woven on a jacquard loom so the pattern sits inside the fabric rather than being printed onto it. The two faces carry the same clouded pattern in reverse: one side reads a pale sand, the other a deeper taupe brown, and neither is even, breaking instead into soft drifts of the other tone. The surface is brushed and faintly hairy, and short cut fringes finish both ends in a paler cream.

At 130 by 200cm it covers a two seat sofa end to end, or lies across a double bed without reaching the floor on either side. Folded over the arm of a chair it shows both faces at once, the darker against the lighter, which is where the distressed pattern is easiest to read. Against pale upholstery the taupe reads warm. At 1cm thick it drapes rather than holding a shape, and it folds down small enough to sit in a basket.

The pattern is built in the weave itself, which is what gives the worn, faded look rather than anything applied afterwards, and the fringes are left short at both ends. The colour can fade where the throw lies in direct sunlight. The same throw is made in a moss green. At 1.2kg it is light enough to carry from room to room.

How should I look after it?

Professional eco wet cleaning only. Do not machine wash it, hand wash it or tumble dry it, as moisture, agitation and heat can shrink and distort it. Between cleans, air it in a well ventilated space and shake it gently. Store it folded somewhere cool and dry.
