Description

A throw 130cm by 200cm, woven as a jacquard in moss green over cream. The pattern is distressed rather than crisp: the green breaks up across the surface into a clouded, weathered field with the paler yarn showing through it, and the reverse carries the same pattern with the two tones swapped over. The surface is brushed and lofty rather than flat, and the edges are finished with a cut fringe.

At 130cm by 200cm it covers the back and one arm of a two seat sofa, or lies across the foot of a double bed. Thrown over the arm of a sofa, the fringe hangs clear of the seat and the clouded green reads darker where the fabric folds over itself.

The throw is polyacrylic and cotton. The yarn is spun and then woven as a jacquard, which puts the pattern into the structure of the fabric rather than printing it on the surface, and the fringe is left cut rather than knotted. The same throw is made in a natural colourway.
