Kaanch Embossed Check Tumblers - Clear - Set of 4

A set of four glass tumblers, each 8cm tall and 8cm across, holding 250ml. The form is a short barrel, narrow at the foot, swelling through the middle and drawn back in to a plain rim. A check is pressed into the glass, horizontal ribs crossed by short raised bars, and it covers the body but stops short of the rim and the base. The glass is clear and carries the fine bubbles that come with recycled stock.

At 8cm tall these are short glasses rather than long ones. Each holds 250ml, which is a glass of water, a juice or a short cocktail. The pressed check gives the outside a grip that a plain tumbler does not, and it breaks up the light across a table instead of sitting flat.

The glass is recycled and hand blown. The check is pressed into the surface while the glass is still hot, so it is part of the glass rather than something applied to it, and the depth of the pattern and the scatter of bubbles differ from tumbler to tumbler. The Kaanch range also holds a highball and a jug in the same clear glass.

How many tumblers come in the set?

Four.

How much does each one hold?

250ml. Each tumbler is 8cm tall and 8cm across.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes, and they are food safe.

How is the check made?

It is pressed into the surface while the glass is still hot, so the pattern is part of the glass rather than applied to the outside of it.

How should they be looked after?

Wash them after every use so nothing stains the glass, using a mild detergent and without leaving them to soak. Handle them with care.
