Description

A pasta bowl 23cm across and 5cm deep, with a wide flat rim and a shallow well inside it. The rim carries the drop pattern: rows of small green teardrops brushed on by hand, each row set between the last so the marks tighten as they run in towards the well. The well is left plain cream, and the green picks up again as a fine line round the inner edge of the rim.

The wide rim and the shallow well make this the bowl for pasta, for a salad, or for a plated main with sauce that needs holding in. At 23cm across it takes the place of a dinner plate on a laid table. It is dishwasher safe and microwave safe.

The bowl is ceramic, shaped and painted by hand. The green goes on with a brush in the traditional way, so the size and the spacing of the drops shift from piece to piece and no two rims are identical. Juniper Drop runs right through a table: dinner and side plates, cereal, pasta and serving bowls, mugs, jugs, a teapot, a cup and saucer, egg cups and a butter dish.

Frequently Asked

How big is it?

23cm across and 5cm deep. It weighs 0.5kg.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes, and it is microwave safe and food safe.

Is the pattern printed on?

No. The drops are brushed on by hand, so they fall differently on every bowl.

What else is in the range?

Dinner and side plates, cereal and serving bowls, mugs, jugs, a teapot, a cup and saucer, egg cups, a butter dish and a full dinnerware set.

How do I look after it?

Wash it after every use so nothing is left to stain it, using a mild detergent, and do not leave it to soak. Handle it carefully, since ceramic chips.
