Description
A cereal bowl 17cm across and 6cm deep, with curved sides that rise from a small foot and open out at the rim. The ground is a soft cream. Over it, rows of small deep green drops are painted by hand, covering the outside from the foot up to the rim and running round the inside as a wide band, with the middle of the bowl left plain. Each drop is brushed on singly, so the size and the spacing shift round the bowl.
At 17cm across and 6cm deep the bowl takes cereal, soup or a snack. It is dishwasher safe and microwave safe, so it belongs in everyday use rather than being kept back for a laid table. They stack, and the pattern on the outside is what shows once the bowls are put away on an open shelf.
The bowl is ceramic, shaped and painted by hand in Vietnam using time honoured techniques. The green is applied with traditional brushwork, one drop at a time, which is why the pattern differs a little from bowl to bowl. The Juniper Drop range runs to plates, a pasta bowl, serving bowls, mugs, jugs, a cup and saucer, a teapot and a butter dish, all in the same cream and green.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
17cm across and 6cm deep.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, and it is microwave safe and food safe.
Is the pattern on the outside as well?
Yes. The drops cover the outside from the foot to the rim and run round the inside of the rim, with the middle left plain.
Will every bowl look the same?
No. Each drop is brushed on by hand, so the size and the spacing vary from bowl to bowl.
What else is in the range?
Plates, a pasta bowl, serving bowls, mugs, jugs, a cup and saucer, a teapot and a butter dish, all in the same cream and green.
How do I look after it?
Wash it after every use to prevent staining, using a mild detergent, and do not leave it to soak. Handle it with care, since the ceramic will chip.
