Description

Our Jolly Floral cake stand is a round stoneware piece made for the Christmas table, 26cm across and 7cm tall. A wide, flat top sits on a short, flared foot, so a cake is lifted just clear of the table rather than towering over it. The cream top is patterned in rings: a plain centre circle edged with dots and hearts, then a band of little birds, leafy sprigs and round flower heads, finished with a fine contrasting line around the rim. It is made of 100% stoneware and weighs 0.996KG.

At 26cm across, the top is wide enough for a ring cake or a round sponge, and the plain centre gives the cake a clear place to sit while the pattern frames it at the edge. The maker approves it for food, so cakes, mince pies and biscuits can go straight onto the stoneware without a doily. It suits anyone who bakes for a crowd at Christmas: bring it out for afternoon tea with friends, for the dessert on Christmas Day or for a pile of iced biscuits on Christmas Eve.
