Description

The Javanee large stands 33cm on the same 6.5cm foot as the two shorter sizes. Three hammered beads run up the stem at even intervals, each with a short plain length of stem above and below it, and the stem opens at the top into a long narrow cup that takes a taper candle. The trumpet foot below is worked in the same broad facets.

Thirty three centimetres carries a taper well clear of whatever stands around it, which is what this height is for: a hall table, the end of a sideboard, a hearth. Three beads break the stem into four lengths, so the line reads as a stack rather than as one continuous taper. It is made for indoor and outdoor use.

All of it is iron, finished in antique brass. Each one is worked by hand, so the facets fall differently on every holder and the brass gathers on the raised planes and thins in the hollows. Javanee runs at 19cm with one bead and 26cm with two, both on this same 6.5cm foot. The candle is not included.

Frequently Asked

What candle does it take?

A taper candle, in the cup at the top.

How tall is it?

33cm, on a foot 6.5cm across. It is the tallest of the three.

What are the other sizes?

19cm with one bead on the stem and 26cm with two. This one carries three.

Can it go outside?

Yes. It is made for indoor and outdoor use.

How do I look after it?

Wash it with a mild dish soap and warm water after every use so wax does not build up, and keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners away from the finish.
