This floor lamp pairs a beige stoneware base with a sculpted, crumpled surface and a tall cylindrical linen shade with vertical stripes. It stands 114cm tall and 24cm across, and the shade alone is 65cm tall and 24cm across. At 114cm it is a low floor lamp, made to sit beside you and light the space around a chair or sofa rather than the whole room. The stoneware gives the base its texture: every fold and ridge catches the light differently, so it looks good switched off as well as on.

We would put it beside an armchair, at the end of a sofa or next to a bed, wherever you want a soft pool of light to read or unwind by. A linen shade diffuses the light from the bulb, and the stripes give it pattern by day. The beige tones sit easily with pale wood, cream textiles and other stoneware, so it suits a living room, bedroom or study with a calm, natural palette. The foot switch on the cord means you can turn it on and off without bending to the shade, and the 200cm clear cable gives you room to place it away from the wall socket.
