The Jackie floor lamp is a slim reading light built from a jointed arm, a flat square head and a square base. It stands 128cm tall, and the arm has a reach of 59cm, so the light falls where you need it. The head measures 10.5cm and holds an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 10W and gives 706 lumens of warm white 3000K light through a 90° beam, with a CRI of 90, which keeps the colours of a page, a fabric or a face looking true. We offer the Jackie in White, Black or Brushed Titanium.

This is a lamp for the living room, and it is happiest beside a sofa or an armchair, where the arm can bring the head over your shoulder for reading. The square base measures 23cm, so the lamp stands close to furniture without taking up much floor space, and the warm 3000K light sits comfortably with the other lamps in the evening. Because it dims in steps, you can bring it down from a bright reading light to something softer once the book is closed. It is rated IP40 and made for indoor use, so keep it to dry rooms.

The Jackie plugs in and runs on 230V, and it needs nothing sold separately: the LED is built into the head, so once it is out of the box and standing in place it is ready to use. Choose White for a light, quiet look against pale walls, Black for a crisp outline, or Brushed Titanium for a soft metallic sheen that sits well with grey, stone and natural fabrics. Whichever finish you pick, the slim arm and small footprint keep the lamp from crowding a corner, and with no bulb to replace, it is simply a case of plugging it in beside your favourite chair.
