Description

A counter stool with a woven cane back and a padded leather seat. The seat is padded rather than slung and sits 69cm from the floor, which is counter height. Overall the stool stands 108cm to the top of the back, 44cm wide and 52cm deep, and it weighs 7.4kg. The leather is tanned goat hide in tan.

At 69cm the seat is made for a kitchen island or a counter rather than a dining table, and at 108cm overall the back stands clear of a worktop when the stool is pushed under. The cane is worked on the reverse of the back as well as the front, which matters because the reverse is the side on show while a stool is tucked in against an island. At 44cm wide the stool takes a narrow run of counter.

The seat is padded and covered in tanned goat leather, and the back is woven cane. The Iswa counter stool is also made in rich green and in aged black, and the same chair is made as a dining chair in tan, black and green.

Frequently Asked

How high is the seat?

69cm, which is counter height.

How big is the stool overall?

108cm tall, 44cm wide and 52cm deep.

What is the back made from?

Woven cane, worked on both faces so the stool looks finished from behind.

What other colours is it made in?

Rich green and aged black. The same chair is made as a dining chair in tan, black and green.

How do I look after the leather?

Wipe it clean with a soft, dry cloth and keep chemicals and household cleaners off the finish. To stop the hide drying out and cracking, feed it occasionally with a specialist leather product, or with petroleum jelly or flax oil.
