Inkollu Wall Hung Storage Basket - Aged Brass - Set of 2

The Inkollu wall hung baskets are shaped by hand from iron wire, a set of two that are flat across the back and bowed out at the front so each one sits close against a wall. Closely set vertical wires are bound by a single horizontal wire spiralled round them, with heavier ribs at intervals and a flat wire disc closing the base. One loop of wire rises from the top of the flat back, and the basket hangs from that loop over a hook. The two are not the same size, and the smaller sits inside the larger when they are put away.

Being open wire, whatever is in the basket stays visible, which suits a pantry wall where potatoes, onions or clothes pegs are wanted to hand, or a hallway for gloves, hats and scarves. The flat back lets it hang on a peg rail, on a row of hooks under a shelf, or on the side of a dresser. The pair hangs from iron hooks beneath a worktop, one taking folded linen and the other a bundle of wooden spoons standing upright.

The wire is iron, shaped by hand in family workshops whose wire working skills have been passed down through generations, with a durable powder coated finish in aged brass applied over it. Because each basket is formed by hand, the spacing of the wires and the line of the rim differ from one to the next. Two baskets come in a set.
