Description

A storage pot hand blown from clear recycled glass, 10cm high and 10cm across, worked over the outside with a hammered texture. It has a lid, a thick clear glass disc that drops into the mouth and sits down on the shoulder. The glass is clear rather than tinted, so what goes into it stays visible through the wall, and the hammering breaks the light up as it passes through.

It is made for a bathroom, for cotton pads and the other small things that otherwise sit loose on a shelf. At 10cm each way it will stand on a narrow shelf, in the corner of a washstand or on the edge of a basin surround, and because the glass is clear it shows at a glance how much is left in it.

The glass is recycled and every pot is blown by hand before the hammered texture is worked into it. That process leaves small differences in the surface and in the shape from one pot to the next, so no two come out alike. Ilcoso runs to three pieces, each of them made in clear, in amber and in green.

Frequently Asked

How big is it?

10cm high and 10cm across.

What is it for?

Small bathroom things: cotton pads, a bar of soap, and whatever else would otherwise be loose on a shelf.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes. Each pot is blown by hand from recycled clear glass and then given its hammered surface.

Will every one be the same?

No. Blowing by hand leaves slight differences in the surface and in the form, so each pot varies.

What else is in the range?

A soap dish and a soap dispenser, and all three are made in clear, amber and green.

How should it be looked after?

Wash it with a mild detergent and do not leave it to soak. Handle it with care.
