The Hilow Line Travertine is a linear LED floor lamp made from a single slim aluminium rod, just 2.3cm across, rising from a round travertine base. The whole lamp stands 207cm tall, and the base is 12cm across and 30cm tall, so it takes up very little floor. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and at 39W it gives 2714 lumens. It comes in four finishes, Brushed Champagne, Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass and Textured Soft White, and in two colour temperatures, 2700K or 3000K.

We see it in a living room, standing in a corner, beside a sofa or next to a bookcase, where a tall line of light suits a room that needs height without bulk. Because the base is so compact, it fits where a lamp with a shade would crowd the space. With a CRI of 90, fabrics, timber and skin tones look natural under its light. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It plugs in, so there is no wiring to arrange, and it dims with the dimmer on its cable, letting you bring the light down for a quieter evening.

The lamp is one straight aluminium line set into a cylindrical travertine base, with its cable leaving from the foot of the base. It runs at 230V and is a Class II fitting. Choose the finish to sit with the metals already in your room: Brushed Brass and Brushed Champagne lean warm, Brushed Bronze is deeper, and Textured Soft White keeps the line quiet against a pale wall. Pick 2700K for the softest evening glow, or 3000K if you want a touch more clarity for reading. Place it within easy reach of a socket, and keep the cable dimmer where you can reach it from your seat.
