Description

The Hilow Line Nero Marquina is a floor lamp pared back to a single line of light: a slim linear rod in a Brushed Bronze finish, just 2.3cm across, rising from a black cylinder base with fine white veining. It stands 207cm tall, and the base is 12cm across and 30cm tall, so it asks for very little floor. The light comes from an integrated LED of 39W giving 2714lm, which means there is no bulb to buy or change. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2700K or 3000K: the 2700K version gives a warmer glow and the 3000K version a slightly crisper white. With a CRI of 90, colours in the room look true under it.

We see it in a living room, standing in a corner, beside a sofa or next to a favourite reading chair, where it adds a tall line of light without the bulk of a shade. Because it plugs in, it can move with you as the room changes, and it runs on 230V. It is dimmable with a dimmer on its cable, so you can bring the light down for a quiet evening and back up when you want more. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use.

The design keeps to two parts: the slender Brushed Bronze rod and its dark, veined base, a quiet contrast that sits comfortably with wooden floors, deep upholstery or pale walls. Its narrow profile means it can stand in a gap where a conventional floor lamp would crowd the room. Before you order, choose between the 2700K and 3000K versions, since that choice sets the colour of the light, and check the spot you have in mind: at 207cm it needs clear height above it, though its base needs only 12cm of floor. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket.
