Description

The Hilow Line Alps Green floor lamp is a single slim rod of light rising from a green marble base. The rod has a Brushed Bronze finish and is just 2.3cm across, so the lamp reads as a fine vertical line however you place it. It stands 207cm tall, and the cylindrical base is 12cm across and 30cm tall, with pale veining running through the deep green stone. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change; it draws 39W and gives 2714 lumens.

We see it most at home in a living room, standing in a corner, beside a sofa or next to a bookcase, where its height and narrow profile add light while taking up very little floor space. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2700K or 3000K: choose 2700K for a warmer, softer light in the evening, or 3000K for a slightly crisper white. With a CRI of 90, colours in the room, from fabrics to artwork, look true under it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use. It is dimmable with the dimmer on its cable, so you can bring the light down for a quiet evening without fitting a wall dimmer.

The rod carries its Brushed Bronze finish along its full length, a warm metal tone that sits comfortably against the deep green of the marble. The lamp runs at 230V and is Class II. It plugs in, so once it is in place there is nothing more to arrange before you use it. Because the LED is integrated, there are no bulbs to keep in a drawer. One practical point: at 207cm it is a tall lamp, so check the height of the spot you have in mind, especially under a sloping ceiling or a low shelf, before you order.
