Description

The Hilow wall light is a grid of slim rods in a brushed champagne finish, crossing one another at right angles, with one long horizontal bar held in a black diffuser frame that carries the light. It is a large piece for a wall: 113cm wide, 82cm tall and 13cm deep. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, drawing 71W or 77W depending on the version and giving 3812lm or 4088lm. A CRI of 90 means colours, wood and skin look true under it. We offer it in 2700K, the warmer of the two, or 3000K, a touch crisper.

Its size suits a wide stretch of wall in a living room, above a sideboard in a dining room or behind the bed in a bedroom, where it gives real working light. It is rated IP20, which means dry rooms only. It comes in two versions. The DALI or push dimmable version dims through a DALI control system or a push switch, so you can bring it down for a quiet evening. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately and not included, which converts the mains supply to the low voltage the fitting runs on; it will not work without one.

It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician. The brushed champagne finish has a soft, low sheen rather than a mirror shine, and set against the black diffuser frame it gives the piece a warm, quiet contrast. The rods are slim, so the design keeps a light touch on the wall even at this size, and at 13cm deep it stands only a short way proud of the surface.
