Description

This is a pair to play with: a soft toy sausage dog in a multicoloured striped knitted jumper, and a carry bag made to hold him. The dog has a long, low body, floppy ears, an upturned tail and a rounded nose, and the jumper wraps his middle from collar to hips. The bag is a neat tote with two fabric handles, lined inside with a floral print and cut low at one end so the dog can ride with his head out. Both are made from a soft blend of 70% polyester and 30% cotton, and the maker gives the size as 28cm long, 5cm wide and 15cm tall.

The dog and bag are made to go together, and that is the fun of it: a child can tuck the dog in, pick up the bag by its handles and take him along from room to room. When play is done, the bag hangs from a peg or a hook on the wall with the dog peeping out, which keeps him off the floor and makes a cheerful little scene in a child's room or nursery.
