Description

This pair of hand-decorated stoneware bowls is multicoloured, and each bowl carries its own pattern: one has a flower motif at its centre with a wavy line circling the inside, and the other has a spiral that winds inwards from near the rim. At 12cm across and 4.5cm tall, with a capacity of 200ml, these are small serving bowls rather than cereal bowls, sized for the little extras that go round the table. Stoneware is dense and hard-wearing, which suits pieces that are used and washed often.

We use them for olives, nuts, dips, sauces and dressings, or a small scoop of ice cream after dinner. Because the two designs differ, you can set one at each end of a table, or give two people their own dip at a sharing supper.
