The Hayes is a semi flush ceiling light with three glass globes, each held on its own brass arm that branches from a short central stem beneath a round ceiling plate. Two globes reach out to either side and the third sits at the centre, so the light spreads across the room rather than gathering in one spot. It is made of brass and glass and comes in five finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass and Satin Brass. Choose Clear or Opal glass for the globes: Opal gives a soft, even glow, while Clear lets the bulbs show. The fitting is 35cm tall and 54cm across.

Because a semi flush fitting sits close to the ceiling on a short stem, the Hayes gives a wide spread of light without a long drop. That makes it a good choice for a hallway, where people pass beneath it all day. Its three globes fill the space evenly, and at 54cm across it has the width to light a generous hall. The brass and silver finishes suit a period house, while Matt Black, painted in RAL 9005, sits well in a plainer, more modern home. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
