Hara Glass Baubles - Antique Teal - Set of 4

A set of four glass baubles in a teal that runs from a clear aqua to a deeper, cloudier green. They come in two patterns, two of each: one moulded into overlapping scales that lie in rows the way a pine cone does, the other into vertical ribs that run from the cap down to the base and up the far side. Each bauble is 8cm, capped with a fluted dark metal collar and a hanging ring, and hangs from a plain olive velvet ribbon.

At 8cm these are large enough to hang on their own along a branch rather than needing to be grouped, and the two patterns do different things with the light: the scales break it into small points, the ribs draw it into long vertical highlights. Four will dress a wreath or a garland as well as a tree. The ribbon folds over at the top, so it loops straight over a branch without a hook. All four hang along a branch, alternating between the two patterns.

The glass is recycled, melted down and blown by hand into a mould, which is where the scales and the ribs come from. Because the mould holds more glass in some places than others, the colour reads clear and bright where the wall is thin and cloudier where it is thick, and that falls differently on every bauble. The set arrives with two of each pattern.

How do they hang?

From a velvet ribbon through the ring at the top. It loops over a branch without needing a hook.

Can they be used outdoors?

No. Indoor use only.

How do I look after them?

A dry, soft cloth will take off any dust. Handle them with care, and keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners away from them, as those will damage the finish.
