Description

The Hampton is a 4-light chandelier built around an open rectangular brass frame that suspends four off-white linen cylinder shades, each backed by an etched acrylic diffuser. The frame measures 629mm wide by 622mm tall, with the central shade positioned higher than the three outer shades to create a stepped composition. Each shade houses a single E27 bulb rated up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for dining tables and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Hampton works over rectangular dining tables up to 2m long or in foyer spaces where vertical presence is needed without overwhelming horizontal width. The 1524mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 737mm minimum and 2221mm maximum on installation, setting the chandelier 700-900mm above a dining surface depending on ceiling height. The brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The brass finish is a warm mid-tone between polished and antique, with enough reflectivity to catch light without creating bright glare points. The linen shades diffuse the bulb output through the fabric weave and the etched acrylic backing layer, producing soft ambient light rather than directional task lighting. The rectangular frame gives the Hampton a more geometric profile than traditional curved-arm chandeliers, pairing with both transitional and contemporary interiors where clean lines are preferred over classical detailing.

What bulbs does the Hampton take?

The chandelier takes four E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and entrance hall applications.

What table size does it suit?

The 629mm width works over rectangular dining tables between 1.4m and 2m long. For tables longer than 2m, consider two Hampton chandeliers spaced evenly, or a larger multi-light fitting.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by shortening the 1524mm chain to the required length. Once the excess chain is removed and the canopy is fixed to the ceiling, the drop cannot be easily adjusted without removing the canopy and re-threading the chain.

How is the linen cleaned?

The linen shades can be vacuumed gently with a soft brush attachment to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and allow to air-dry fully before switching the chandelier back on. Do not remove the shades for washing unless the manufacturer's instructions explicitly permit it.
