Description

The Halston is a 358mm diameter conical glass pendant with a glossy white opal shade suspended from a matte black metal stem and canopy. The cone shape flares outwards from a narrow collar where it meets the stem, giving a classic mid-century silhouette. A single E27 bulb sits inside the cone (sold separately), with the white opal glass diffusing the light evenly across the lower hemisphere.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars, the Halston suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The adjustable drop ranges from 381mm to 1474mm, allowing the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on the room height. The matte black finish on the stem and canopy provides strong tonal contrast against the white shade, making the fitting visually distinct in open-plan spaces where multiple pendants might be grouped in a row.

The white opal glass is slightly translucent, so when lit the shade glows softly and the bulb filament or LED element becomes visible as a warm core inside the cone. The matt black metallic finish absorbs rather than reflects light, giving clean edges in daylight and reducing glare under artificial lighting. The cone diameter of 358mm is large enough to provide adequate coverage over a 900mm-wide table or island section without overwhelming smaller dining setups.

The pendant takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining light.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The drop is adjustable between 381mm and 1474mm during installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the correct height for your ceiling and table configuration.

How many pendants are needed over a kitchen island?

For a standard 900mm-wide island, one Halston pendant centred provides adequate coverage. For islands 1800mm or wider, two or three pendants spaced evenly give better light distribution and visual balance.

Is the white shade glass or plastic?

The cone shade is white opal glass. When lit, the glass becomes slightly translucent and glows softly, with the bulb filament or LED element visible inside the cone.
