Description
The Haldmere is a six light pendant with opal glass globes on adjustable stems, spreading 860mm square and standing between 1000mm and 1270mm tall. The stems are adjustable, so the globes can be set at different heights and the cluster fanned wide or gathered tighter to suit the space. The metalwork is matt antique brass, warm and low in sheen, and the opal glass diffuses the light into a soft glow without hard bright spots. At 4.1kg it hangs from a single ceiling point, which keeps installation simple for a fitting of this spread.
This is a main ceiling light for a room with some floor area to it, so a living room, a large bedroom, or a wide hallway with a stairwell above. We would also hang it over a round dining table, set so the lowest globe sits clear of heads. Six lamps behind opal glass give even, comfortable light across a whole room, which makes it a practical centre fitting as well as a good looking one. It suits anyone building a warm brass scheme.
The frame and stems are metal in a matt antique brass finish, with opal glass shades over each lamp. Six E14 LED lamps of around 7W each sit inside, and it is dimmable with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer. Wipe the glass with a barely damp cloth once the lamps are cool and dry it off, then dust the brass with a dry cloth and keep sprays and polish away from the matt surface. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, and as a Class 1 fitting it needs an earthed supply. The Haldmere range also runs to a semi-flush, a linear pendant and a wall light.

Frequently Asked
How much space does it need?
It spreads 860mm square, so allow a clear area around it and a room with some floor space to carry the width.
What is the glass like?
Opal glass, which diffuses the light into a soft glow rather than leaving a bright filament on show.
Which bulbs does it take?
Six E14 candle bulbs, and LED versions of around 7W each suit the opal shades.
Can the stems be adjusted?
Yes. The stems adjust, so you can set the globes at different heights and change how wide the cluster sits.
How do I clean the opal glass?
Once the lamps are cool, wipe it with a barely damp cloth and dry it. Dust the matt brass separately, dry only.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer, which is useful on a six lamp main light.
