Description

The Greenberry is a ribbed glass pendant light in green and grey, made from two rounded sections of blown glass stacked one above the other. A wider grey section sits over a slimmer green one, and the two meet at a narrow black collar, with black bands at the top and base. It hangs from a 12cm canopy on a 2 metre textile cable, and measures 42.5cm tall and 20cm across. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit: 10W gives 600 lumens of warm white light at 3000K.

With a 360° beam angle, light spreads all the way round through the glass rather than in a pool below, so it gives a soft, even glow more than a task light. Hang it over a small dining table or beside a bed, or in a hallway or reading corner where warm, coloured light suits better than bright overhead light. Its colour rendering index of 90 or more means food, fabrics and skin tones look true beneath it. It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry rooms, and it suits a modern home as well as a relaxed café, bar or hotel lounge.

The structure is iron, the shade is blown glass, and the cable is covered in textile, which looks neat where it drops from the ceiling. The ribs run the full height of each glass section, catching the light in fine vertical lines whether it is on or off. It runs on 220-240V mains, so it is one for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 5 year guarantee.
