Description

The Graham is a 3-light ceiling fitting from Hinkley that installs either as a semi-flush mount or as a pendant, using the same fittings and canopy. In semi-flush configuration the fitting sits 359mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.2m. As a pendant, the drop adjusts from 359mm to 1299mm, allowing the light to be suspended over dining tables or kitchen islands in rooms with higher ceilings.

The frame is polished nickel with three visible E14 candle-style bulb holders arranged in a central cluster. Two cylindrical drum shades in off-white faux parchment sit above and below the bulb cluster, diffusing the light outward and downward while leaving the central bulbs visible. The polished nickel finish reflects light around the fitting and contrasts with the soft off-white of the parchment shades.

At 406mm diameter the Graham suits dining areas over tables up to 1.6m long, entrance halls with ceiling heights that rule out full-drop pendants, and living spaces where a semi-flush fitting is needed but a basic dome or flush mount feels too plain. The faux parchment shades are opaque enough to prevent glare from the naked bulbs while remaining translucent enough to glow when lit. Each of the three E14 sockets accepts bulbs up to 40W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose colour temperature and bulb style.

What's the difference between semi-flush and pendant installation?

In semi-flush mode the fitting sits 359mm from the ceiling with a fixed drop. In pendant mode the drop can be adjusted between 359mm and 1299mm using the supplied rod and chain, allowing the light to hang lower over a table or island. Both configurations use the same canopy and wiring.

What bulbs does it take?

The Graham takes three E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to achieve a soft ambient glow.

What ceiling height is needed for pendant installation?

For pendant installation over a dining table the fitting typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface. With the minimum 359mm drop this requires a ceiling height of approximately 2.8m. Lower ceilings are better suited to semi-flush installation.

Can the parchment shades be cleaned?

The faux parchment shades can be dusted with a soft dry cloth. For more stubborn marks, wipe gently with a barely-damp microfibre cloth and allow to air-dry. Avoid soaking the material or using chemical cleaners.
