Description

The Golden Ring ceiling canopy is the round white plate from which a Golden Ring pendant hangs. It is 30cm across, a slim disc in White that sits flat against the ceiling, with six small suspension points spaced evenly around its underside for six steel cables and one central entry for a single electric cable. It gives no light of its own: the pendant hung from it takes its mains supply through it, so the canopy is both the fixing and the power point. The pendant itself is not part of the canopy.

It belongs on the ceiling of an indoor room, centred over the place where you want the ring to hang: above a dining table, in the middle of a living room or over an open stairwell or wide hallway. The six steel cables hold the ring from points around the circle, and the single electric cable brings power down to it from the centre, so the pendant hangs from one fixing rather than several. It is unrated, which means it is for dry rooms only. In White it sits quietly against a pale ceiling, leaving the eye on the ring of light rather than on the plate above it.

Its construction is simple: a single round plate with its suspension points and cable entry set into it, finished in White.
