Description

The Golden Ring ceiling canopy is the round ceiling rose that Golden Ring pendants hang from. It is a flat disc 30cm across, finished in gold leaf with a warm, softly textured surface that catches the light in the room around it. On its underside sit six steel-cable points, spaced evenly near the rim, and one electrical cable entry at the centre: six steel cables to carry the weight and one electric cable to bring the power down. It gives no light of its own.

This is the ceiling half of a Golden Ring installation, the piece that joins the pendants to the wiring in your home. The pendants hung from it take their mains supply through it, so the canopy is where the light gets its power. The pendants themselves are sold separately, so plan them alongside the canopy. It is made for indoor use and carries no IP rating, so it belongs in a dry room: a living room, a dining room, a hallway or a study. We think it suits anyone planning a Golden Ring who wants a finished, gold ceiling end rather than a plain white rose.

The canopy is wired in to the mains, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.
