Description

The Glistis is a 60cm dual-ring LED suspension light with two interlocking circular rings finished in powder-coated white metal, suspended on adjustable PVC cables from a matching white canopy. An integrated 48W 3000K LED runs through both rings, emitting warm white light through an opal rubber diffuser that wraps the LED strip, turning the rings themselves into the primary light source.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Glistis provides ambient illumination across a circular area approximately 2-3m in diameter. The 850mm cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the rings to be set 600-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The overlapping ring configuration creates visual depth when viewed from different angles in the room.

The powder-coated white finish on the metal frame gives the fitting a clean, minimal presence that pairs comfortably with Scandinavian, contemporary and modern interiors. The opal rubber diffuser eliminates visible LED hotspots and produces an even wash of light around both rings. At 48W and 3000K the LED output provides functional task and ambient lighting without the cooler blue cast of daylight-temperature LEDs. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use only.

The Glistis carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. The integrated LED is non-replaceable, so the entire fitting is treated as the light source with an expected lifespan of approximately 30,000 hours at typical domestic use patterns (6-8 hours per day).

Is the Glistis dimmable?

No. The integrated 48W LED is non-dimmable and runs at fixed output on a standard 230V mains circuit. If dimming is required, a different model or a trailing-edge dimmer module would need to be specified at installation, but this is not officially supported by Ideal Lux for this model.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the ring structure and is not user-replaceable. The expected lifespan is approximately 30,000 hours, which equates to around 10 years at 8 hours per day of use. When the LED reaches end-of-life, the entire fitting would need to be replaced.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 850mm cable drop is adjustable on installation. For a dining table or kitchen island the rings typically sit 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Glistis if the cables are shortened during fitting.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, wet rooms or any location where it may be exposed to moisture or steam.
