Description

The Glendhurst pendant wraps ribbons of gold finished metal around an ivory shade, so the frame reads as a series of soft curves rather than a rigid cage. It measures 600mm in diameter with an overall height that adjusts between 800mm and 2110mm, and at 3.8kg it hangs from a standard ceiling fixing once the mounting point has been checked. Three E14 lamps rated up to 6W each in LED sit behind the ivory, giving an even glow instead of visible hot spots, and the pendant light dims with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer switch. The IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms.

This is a warm, quiet ceiling light for rooms that already have enough going on. Hung over a dining table around 900mm to 1.2m wide it gives you light to eat by without dominating the table setting; in a hallway or on a landing the long adjustable drop lets you centre it properly in the stairwell. It suits anyone working with a cream, stone or greige palette, and the gold ribbon frame picks up brass taps, handles and picture frames. In a bedroom, dimmed low, the ivory shade turns the light almost candle soft.

The ribbons are metal in a gold finish, formed and fixed around the ivory shade, and the whole fitting is light enough to handle single handed during installation. Set the drop before you fit the ceiling rose, then keep it clean with a dry soft cloth on the metal and a soft brush or low suction vacuum on the shade; liquids and solvent cleaners will mark both.
